Breaking of Bread

Or Lord’s Supper or Communion. All are welcome to this service but it is really for believers and only baptised believers are invited to take part in sharing the bread and wine. There is no prior planning for this meeting and the men lead in worship, hymn singing, Scripture reading as they are led by the Holy Spirit. Following the breaking of bread an offering is taken up and twice a month there is a second offering for, for example, missionary support.

Evening Service

We describe this as ‘teaching gospel’. We know there is a need for a reasoned presentation of the grace of God in providing a Saviour and we offer this gospel with some teaching for the believer. The usual, but not standard, format is hymn, prayer, hymn, reading, message, hymn, prayer. All are invited.

Friends’ & Neighbours’ Tea

Hymn singing and perhaps another feature, an address by a visiting speaker, and tea. All are welcome.

Midweek Meeting (Tuesday)

A period of prayer followed in the winter/spring months, by a conversational Bible Study. For the missionary prayer meeting we occasionally have a visiting missionary or a rep. for a particular service (eg Open Air Mission, SASRA), sometimes a DVD of a mission field area and sometimes just written reports from various missionaries.
